The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has reportedly published its provisional admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session on JAMB CAPS. Neither the academy nor the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a statement on the release, according to reports.
The reports appeared on 19 and 20 October 2026. They say the offers are visible to candidates through JAMB's Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), the platform where all Nigerian tertiary admissions are confirmed.
What the reports say
The intake is described as the 13th Regular Course. The list is said to cover candidates who went through this session's POLAC screening, which the reports describe as post-UTME, a computer-based test and physical clearance.
One account says the offers are being uploaded rather than released all at once, so a candidate who sees nothing today may still see an offer later.
No word from POLAC or JAMB
No statement from the academy or from JAMB confirming the release was found. The reports carry no cut-off mark, no acceptance fee, no deadline and no closing date for accepting an offer.
An earlier report dated 4 October 2026 said the list was not yet out. That report predates the release reports and does not appear to have been updated.
Another account mixes POLAC details with information about a different university and contradicts itself, saying the first, second and third batch lists are not yet out while also saying names are being uploaded. Its claim that lists for Law, Medicine and Surgery, Nursing Science and Accounting are already published should not be relied on.
Where candidates can check
Several reports say checking is done on JAMB's e-Facility portal, from where candidates open CAPS. One report says the list can also be seen on the academy's own admission portal, but that report is alone in saying so and two accounts give different addresses for it. Candidates should confirm the academy portal address with POLAC directly rather than trust a link sent to them.
Accepting the offer
An offer has to be accepted formally. Several reports warn that an offer left unaccepted risks being withdrawn.
Acceptance or rejection can reportedly be done by texting ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number registered on the candidate's JAMB profile. One report says there is also an ACCEPT button inside CAPS.
Candidates whose status still reads "Admission Still in Progress" or "Not Admitted" are advised to keep checking, as the status may change.
One report says that after accepting, candidates should print their JAMB admission letter, pay the academy's acceptance fee, then complete clearance and pay school fees. No amounts are given in any of the reports.
Warnings over circulated lists
One report states that an admission is only valid when it appears on JAMB CAPS, and that anything offered or accepted outside the platform is illegal. That position is consistent with standard JAMB policy.
The same report warns candidates to ignore admission lists circulated on WhatsApp or by agents asking for money.
What candidates should do
Candidates who sat the POLAC screening should check their status on JAMB CAPS and, if an offer is showing, accept it rather than leave it standing. Anyone offered admission should also confirm the academy's own portal address with POLAC before using it, and should not pay any agent to "process" an admission.
Steps to Check and accept your POLAC offer on JAMB CAPS
- Go to the JAMB e-Facility portal and log in with the email address and password you used for your JAMB registration.
- Click "Check Admission Status". If prompted, select 2026 as the examination year and enter your JAMB registration number. (This sub-step is reported by one account only.)
- Click "Access My CAPS" to open the CAPS dashboard.
- Open "Admission Status" to see whether POLAC has made you an offer. One report says the link sits on the left-hand menu.
- If an offer appears, accept it. You can click ACCEPT inside CAPS, or text ACCEPT to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number on your JAMB profile. Text REJECT if you are declining.
- If your status still reads "Admission Still in Progress" or "Not Admitted", check again later, as it may change.
- After accepting, print your JAMB admission letter, pay the academy's acceptance fee, then complete clearance and pay school fees. Confirm the amounts and payment procedure with POLAC.
