NAUB 2026/2027 admission list reportedly uploaded to JAMB CAPS

The Nigerian Army University, Biu (NAUB) has reportedly uploaded its admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session, with candidates said to be able to view offers on JAMB's Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). Neither NAUB nor JAMB has issued a statement confirming the release, according to reports.

The reports describe the list as provisional and say it covers candidates who applied to NAUB for undergraduate admission for 2026/2027 and took part in the university's screening exercise. Both UTME and Direct Entry applicants are said to be able to check.

No official confirmation yet

No announcement from NAUB itself or from JAMB confirming that the list has been released was found. One report advises candidates to treat the university's official website as the main source for confirmation and for any later batches.

The reported dates do not agree

The reports give different publication dates, including 15, 16, 20 and 21 October 2026, and one version carries a 2025 date. The exact date the list was released is therefore not established.

Who is affected

  • Candidates who applied to NAUB for undergraduate admission for the 2026/2027 session.
  • Candidates who took part in the university's admission screening exercise.
  • Both UTME and Direct Entry applicants, according to the reports.

What candidates see on CAPS

An admitted candidate reportedly sees their photograph displayed with a message congratulating them on the offer. A candidate without an offer sees a message saying no admission has been given yet.

One report lists five possible CAPS statuses: Admission Offered, Admission in Progress (AIP), Recommended, Not Admitted and Pending.

Batches and later lists

Admissions are said to be released in batches, so candidates who have not yet been offered are advised to keep checking. Nothing in the reports states a fee, a closing date or a helpline.

Accepting the offer

An offered candidate accepts or rejects by sending ACCEPT or REJECT as a text message to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number tied to their JAMB profile. Candidates are said to have four weeks from the offer to respond.

Anyone without a registered phone number should go to a JAMB accredited centre to accept or reject instead. After accepting, the candidate should print the admission letter from the JAMB portal, since it is likely to be required for clearance and registration at the university.

Background

NAUB is in Biu, Borno State, and runs undergraduate programmes in computing, engineering, management, natural sciences and social sciences, according to one report.

What candidates should do

Candidates should log in and check their status, then respond quickly if an offer appears. Those using a phone may find that CAPS shows only the welcome message without the admission-status option; switching the browser to desktop mode is suggested to see the full page.

Because the release has not been confirmed officially, candidates should also watch the NAUB website for confirmation and for any later batches.

Steps to Check your NAUB admission status on JAMB CAPS and respond to any offer

  6. Respond within four weeks of the offer.
  7. After accepting, print your admission letter from the JAMB portal for clearance and registration at NAUB.
  8. If you are on a phone and the status option does not appear, switch your browser to desktop mode.
