Anyway, here's what I've managed to piece together, and I'll point out where I'm not totally sure about stuff. Best of my research and interaction with some uniben students, I have put together the current price list of the available hostels in the campus.

So if you're heading to UNIBEN or already there, figuring out which hostel to stay in is actually a big deal. It's not just about money—it's about how close you are to class, whether the place is decent, and honestly, your whole campus experience. Let me break down what I know about the hostels, what they cost, and where they actually are.

The Basics: How UNIBEN Housing Works
First off, UNIBEN has two main campuses—Ugbowo (that's the main one where most people are) and Ekehuan. The hostels are scattered across both, and some are only for certain students like if you're in clinical or postgrad.
Here's the deal though: you don't automatically get a hostel room. You have to be fully registered and cleared before you can even apply. And there are rules—no letting friends crash overnight, you can't just switch rooms on your own, and the gates close from midnight to 6am. The Hostels: What They Cost & What I Know About Them
Alright, here's the rundown on each hostel. I'll tell you what I know for sure and where I'm just guessing based on what other students have said.
1. NDDC Hostel — ₦60,000
This one's on campus, pretty sure it's on the Ugbowo side. I saw a video tour where they showed NDDC, and apparently it's unisex. Seems like a solid middle-ground option if you want to be right on campus.
2. Hall 5 — ₦46,000
This is one of the traditional halls, pretty central location. From what I've heard, Hall 5 actually has toilets in each room, which is kind of a big deal compared to some of the older halls where you're sharing communal bathrooms. But the downside is jet to be disclosed because we Nigerians tent to measure quality stuff by price
3. Hall 6 — ₦73,000
I found some coordinates for this one (around 6.3981, 5.62619 if you want to check it on maps). Most people say Hall 6 is for girls. The price is higher than Hall 5, so maybe it's a bit nicer? Not totally sure.
4. Other Hostels — ₦31,000
Okay so this is basically the cheapest option, but "other hostels" is just a catch-all term for the older, more basic halls. They don't even list specific names on the official site. Could be hit or miss honestly—some might be fine, others might have issues with plumbing or maintenance.
5. Festus Akingbola (2 per room, 2nd floor) — ₦100,000
This is in the Akingbola building. You're only sharing with one other person and you're on the second floor. Privacy costs more, obviously.
6. Akingbola (4 per room, top bunk) — ₦46,000
Same building, but now you've got 3 roommates and you're stuck with the top bunk. That's why it's cheaper. Going for this, get ready to be climbing up.
7. Akingbola (4 per room, down bunk) — ₦71,000
Same setup but you get the lower bunk, which is way more convenient. You're paying extra for that.
8. Intercontinental Hostel — ₦100,000
This one's on campus, probably Ugbowo. I couldn't find tons of details but it's supposed to be one of the better ones. If you've got the budget, might be worth it.
9. PG Hostel Ekenwan — ₦82,000
This is over at Ekehuan campus and it's specifically for postgrad students. So if that's you, this is probably your spot.
10. Clinical Hostel — ₦37,000
If you're in medicine or anything clinical, this one's probably close to where you need to be—near the teaching hospital and medical school. Super cheap too, which is nice.

11. Hall 7 — ₦116,000
On campus somewhere. Honestly, I don't have much info on this one. The price is pretty high though, so maybe it's newer or better maintained? You'd have to ask around. My research about hall 7 landed me on the uniben website with few information.
12. Keystone Hostel — ₦116,000
This is one of the newer hostels and I've seen video tours of it. Looks pretty decent from what I can tell. Higher price but you're probably getting better conditions. As you will agree with me that safety is part of the journey.
13. TETFund Hostels A, B, C & Sen. Danjuma Hostel — ₦150,000
These are the newest and most expensive. There's four buildings total—two for guys, two for girls. They're set up more like apartments than typical dorm rooms, which is pretty cool. If you can afford it, this is probably the best option comfort-wise but Omo, here sounds as if it was built specifically for the rich-kids. My Advice (From What I've Learned)
Check out videos or visit in person – Seriously, there are YouTube tours for some of these hostels. It helps to actually see what you're getting into.
Think about where your classes are – If you're in the sciences or medicine, being close matters. You don't want to trek across campus every day or even running after mini-buses even while you're in the school premises.
Ask current students about the real deal – The older hostels can have problems with water, electricity, all that stuff. Get the inside scoop before you commit.
Know the rules – Each hostel has different policies on visitors, curfews, what appliances you can have. Don't get caught off guard.
Apply early – Everyone wants hostel space and there's not enough for everybody. Soon as you're cleared, get on it.
