Have you been struggling to get admission but all efforts seem not to be working? You are not alone. The truth is that the pathway to securing admission is very narrow and competitive. Each year, over 1.5 million students write JAMB, and over 60% of all candidates aspire for courses like Law, Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacy, etc. In fact, if you are looking to study any major course such as the ones I mentioned, you need to score 300 and above, and even this is not guaranteed.
After reading this post, you will discover an alternative to JAMB that offers direct admission not even to 100-level but 200 level straight up.
JAMB Alternative for easy admission
In 2022, I wrote JAMB with a score of 289, hoping to gain admission into UNILAG. But I was shocked after waiting from April to November, constantly checking my JAMB portal. Of course, you can imagine how frustrating that could be. So, I started searching on Google for a way forward and landed on an article published nairaland and that is what I'm doing to share with you today.
It was very interesting for me to hear that there's a way to get admission without JAMB. Though I doubted at first until I carried out my research. I discovered that there's a program called "Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB).
What is JUPEB and How It Works
The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) is a one-year advanced program in Nigeria designed to help students gain direct entry admission into 200 level in participating universities without writing JAMB UTME. Candidates study three subjects related to their desired course, sit for the JUPEB exam, and use the result to secure admission into any JUPEB-affiliated university. Learn more about jupeb exam here
The same way candidates sit for JAMB, you will also be required to take the JUPEB exam. But one good thing about this, it is not very competitive as JAMB. A student with the ability to score 260 in JAMB still no admission has a higher chance of securing admission via JUPEB. That is because this program is less competitive compared to JAMB with yearly registration 1 million users on average. Not all universities currently accept JUPEB results, so I have list some which are open for Jupeb candidates.

These are the current list of universities that accept JUPEB results. So you can secure admission any course of your choice via direct entry.
In conclusion, JUPEB serves as a reliable alternative to JAMB, offering students a direct pathway to 200-level admission in universities while bypassing the UTME.
