UNINIGER Admission List for 2026/2027 Now on JAMB CAPS

The University on the Niger (UNINIGER), Umunya, Anambra State, has released its admission list for the 2026/2027 academic session. The offers are showing on JAMB's Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), the platform JAMB uses to manage admissions.

The release was reported in early September 2026, though no exact date was given. Candidates affected are those who took part in the university's 2026/2027 admission screening exercise.

UNINIGER does not publish a separate PDF list that candidates can search for their names. Every offer is handled through CAPS, so that is the only place to confirm whether you have been admitted.

What an admitted candidate sees

A candidate who has been offered admission will see their passport photograph and a congratulatory message on CAPS. That is the confirmation that the offer is real.

A candidate who has not been offered admission yet will instead see a message saying no admission has been given yet. That message does not mean the process has ended. Candidates in this position should keep checking CAPS.

Statuses that are not final offers

Other labels on CAPS, such as "Recommended" or "Admission in Progress", are not a final offer. They show that processing is still going on. Only the offer message with a passport photograph counts as an admission.

Four weeks to respond

Once an offer appears, the candidate has four weeks to accept or reject it. The response is sent by SMS. Text ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019.

The message must come from the phone number linked to the candidate's JAMB profile. A text sent from another number will not be accepted. Candidates who can no longer use their registered phone number should go to a JAMB-accredited centre to accept or reject the offer.

After accepting, candidates should print their JAMB admission letter. The letter is needed for clearance and registration at the university.

Checking CAPS on a phone

Phone users may see only part of the CAPS page. Switching the browser to desktop mode, for example by choosing "request desktop site" in Chrome, shows the full page.

How to check your UNINIGER admission status

Check your status as early as possible, and act on any offer within the four-week window. If nothing appears yet, check again later.

Steps to Check your UNINIGER admission status on JAMB CAPS

1. Open the JAMB e-Facility portal at efacility.jamb.gov.ng.
2. Log in with your registered email address and password, the same details on your JAMB profile.
3. Click "Check Admission Status".
4. Select "Access my CAPS".
5. Click "Admission Status" to see whether UNINIGER has offered you admission.
6. If an offer appears, text ACCEPT or REJECT to 55019 or 66019 from the phone number on your JAMB profile within four weeks.
7. If you cannot use that phone number, do the acceptance or rejection at a JAMB-accredited centre.
8. After accepting, print your JAMB admission letter for clearance and registration.
9. If no offer shows yet, check CAPS again later.
