NYSC fixes 29 October 2026 for 2025 Batch C passing-out

NYSC has reportedly fixed Thursday, 29 October 2026 for the passing-out ceremony of corps members of the 2025 Batch 'C' set. According to reports of a statement by the scheme, corps members, their employers and other stakeholders were asked to note the date.

The announcement was said to have been made in a press statement issued by Caroline Embu, the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations. Reports carrying the date appeared on 14 and 15 October 2026.

The date has not been seen on an official NYSC website or verified social media account, so it is best treated as announced but unconfirmed until the scheme publishes it through its own channels.

Certificates and clearance

According to one report, Certificates of National Service will be issued to the outgoing corps members on the passing-out day at their respective Local Government area offices.

Before the ceremony, the same report says corps members are required to attend employment advisory and counselling sessions organised for them, complete their registration procedures, and obtain final clearance authorisation from NYSC representatives at both Local Government and Zonal levels nationwide.

No fee, portal, venue list or separate deadline was stated in any of the reports.

A conflicting earlier date

Other reports carried a different date for a set also described as 2025 Batch 'C'. One report in September said NYSC approved Thursday, 18 December 2025 as the passing-out date for 2025 Batch 'C' Stream II corps members, and another reported that a nationwide Batch 'C' Stream II passing-out parade held on 18 December 2025, with the Kogi State ceremony in Lokoja.

That does not sit easily with a 29 October 2026 passing-out for the same 2025 Batch 'C'. The reports may be about different streams or sets, or one of them may be wrongly labelled. Corps members should check the stream and batch printed on their own clearance papers and confirm with their Local Government inspector or state secretariat.

The date concerns corps members due to pass out from the 2025 Batch 'C' set, the employers who engaged them during the service year, and other stakeholders who deal with them. Reports about 2026 Batch 'C' registration, orientation and foreign-trained verification are separate items and are not part of this announcement.
