A-Level Screening Requirements: Documents You Must Prepare prior the commencement date of JUPEB and IJMB physics screening 2026/2027.
For your A-Level programme (JUPEB, IJMB, or any other approved A-Level programme), you need to have the right documents ready for your screening. This isn't universal across every institution, but out of all the documents listed below, you will be asked to bring at least five — if not all of them. This is especially true if you're planning to school in the South-South region. For example, University of Uyo and University of Calabar will ask for everything listed below.
To be on the safe side, go with everything go-able, else you will be calling mumsy to waybill a document, or worse, travelling home to pick it up.

Required Documents for A-Level Screening (JUPEB/IJMB)
- Letter of Recommendation
- JAMB Profile Code
- Medical/Health Report showing your health status and blood group
- Original Receipt of Your A-Level Registration Form (download from your student portal)
- Original Student Declaration Form (download from your student portal)
- Acceptance Fee Receipt (download from your student portal)
- Certificate of Origin (Local Government Identification)
- National Identification Number (NIN)
- Birth Certificate — if you don't have one, visit the nearest High Court or Magistrate Court with either of your parents or a guardian to obtain an Age Declaration (Affidavit). Photocopy it and keep the original safe, as it can serve as your birth certificate for life.
- O'Level Result(s) with at least five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings. A combination of WAEC and NECO is acceptable where applicable.
Why Your JAMB Portal Matters During A-Level Screening
You should always be able to log in to your JAMB portal at any time. Your JAMB profile is very important throughout the entire admission process.
You'll need it to:
- Provide your JAMB Profile Code during A-Level screening at the JAMB Headquarters
- Upload and verify your A-Level result
- Receive your admission offer
As mentioned in my previous post, your institution will not hand your admission directly to you. After processing your admission, the school first sends it to JAMB for verification. Once verified, JAMB transfers the admission to your JAMB portal, where you can accept it and proceed with the remaining admission process.
Make sure all your documents are complete and arranged before your screening date to avoid unnecessary delays.
Final Advice: Keep All Your Receipts
Buy a file bag to safekeep all the receipts paid to the school. Before you're allowed to log in and view your final result, you must do clearance — which involves thorough scrutiny of your receipts by the bursar. The bursary doesn't know whether you've paid or not; the only proof is your receipt. A missing receipt simply means, as far as the school is concerned, that you didn't pay.
