How to Calculate Your GPA
Semester GPA: Sum of (Grade Point × Credit Units) ÷ Total Credit Units for that semester
CGPA: Sum of all (Grade Point × Credit Units) across all semesters ÷ Total Credit Units earned
Example: If you score A (5.0) in a 3-unit course, you earn 15 grade points (5.0 × 3).

How to Use
Step 1: Select Your Institution
- Click the "Select Your Institution" dropdown
- Choose your university from the list
- For unlisted institutions, select "Custom Grading System" and enter:
- Institution name
- Maximum GPA scale (e.g., 5.0 or 4.0)
- Click "Save Custom Settings"
Step 2: Add Your First Semester
- Click the "+ Add New Semester" button
- Fill in the semester details:
- Academic Year (e.g., 2023/2024)
- Semester Type (First or Second)
- Level (100L, 200L, 300L, etc.)
- Click "Create Semester"
Step 3: Add Courses
- Click "+ Add Course" button
- Fill in the course information:
- Select the semester
- Enter course name (e.g., Introduction to Computer Science)
- Enter course code (e.g., CSC 101)
- Enter credit units (typically 1-6)
- Select your grade (A, B, C, D, or F)
- Click "Add Course"
- Your CGPA will automatically update!
Step 4: Track Your Progress
Your dashboard displays:
- Cumulative GPA: Your overall CGPA
- Grade classification: Current degree class standing
- Total credit units: Across all semesters
- Total courses: Number of courses completed
- Semester breakdown: Individual semester GPAs with course details
Step 5: Set Target Goals (Optional)
- Navigate to "Target CGPA Analyzer" section
- Enter your desired target CGPA (e.g., 4.50 for First Class)
- Enter estimated remaining credits (credits left to graduate)
- Click "Analyze Target"
- The tool will show:
- Average grade needed per credit unit
- Feasibility assessment

Step 6: Manage Your Data
To Export Data:
- Click "📤 Export Data" button
- A JSON file will download automatically
- Store this file safely as a backup
To Import Data:
- Click "📥 Import Data" button
- Click "📁 Select File"
- Choose your previously exported JSON file
- Your data will be restored
To Delete:
- Individual courses: Click the 🗑️ button next to any course
- Entire semester: Click the "🗑️ Delete Semester" button in the semester header

How GPA is Calculated
Semester GPA = Sum of (Grade Point × Credit Units) ÷ Total Credit Units for that semester
Example:
- Course 1: Grade A (5.0) × 3 units = 15 points
- Course 2: Grade B (4.0) × 2 units = 8 points
- Total: 23 points ÷ 5 units = 4.60 GPA
CGPA = Sum of all grade points across all semesters ÷ Total credit units earned
