Step 1: Visit the Uniuyo Students Portal

Make sure you type it correctly or just copy and paste it. When the page loads, you will see the main portal homepage.
Step 2: Click on "Create Account"
Look for the button that says "Create Account" on the homepage. Click on it and it will take you to a registration form.
Now you need to fill in all the required information carefully. The information includes:
- Your full name (as it appears in your JAMB registration)
- Your email address (make sure it's an email you can access)
- Your JAMB registration number (if you don't know, check the admission notification JAMB sent you, it's there) e.g 250090049131DB
- Your phone number
- Create a password (make it something you can remember but not too simple)
- Confirm your password by typing it again
Take your time to fill this form correctly. Double check everything before you move to the next step. A small mistake in your JAMB number or email can cause problems later.

How to Pay Your Acceptance Fee Using Uniuyo Portal
Now that you have created your account, let's talk about how to pay your acceptance fee. This is usually the first payment new students make after admission. Follow these steps carefully.
Step 1: Access the Fee Management Section
Login to your portal using your email and password. Once you're logged in, look for the menu (it's usually three horizontal lines at the top of the page).
Click on the menu and you will see different options. Under "Fee Management", locate and click on the section that says "Acceptance Fee".
Step 2: Check Your Acceptance Fee Amount
The next screen will display the amount you need to pay as acceptance fee. For the 2025/2026 academic session, the acceptance fee is N30,000.
Take note of this amount because you will need it in the next steps. The screen will also show you other details about the payment.
Step 3: Initiate the Payment Process
You will see a button that says "Initiate Payment" or "Continue" or "Proceed to Payment". Click on it.
The system will redirect you to Remita, which is the payment platform the university uses. Remita will show you different payment options:
- Bank transfer
- Debit card (ATM card)
- USSD
- Internet banking
Choose the option that works best for you. Most students prefer bank transfer because it's straightforward and you can do it from any banking app on your phone.
Step 4: Get Your Payment Details (For Bank Transfer)
If you chose bank transfer, Remita will generate temporary account details for you. This is very important, so pay attention.
You will see:
- A temporary account number
- Bank name
- The exact amount to pay (this will be your acceptance fee plus a small Remita charge)
For example, if your acceptance fee is N30,000, the total amount might be N30,150.12 (the extra N150.12 is Remita's processing fee).
Highlight and copy these details carefully. You can screenshot them too so you don't lose anything.
Important Warning: You must transfer the EXACT amount shown. Not more, not less.
If you pay N30,200 instead of N30,150.12, the payment will fail. If you pay N30,100, it will also fail. Even though the payment fails, your account might still be debited and getting a refund can take up to 7 business days. So be very careful with the amount.
Step 5: Make the Transfer
Open your banking app (Opay, Palmpay, Kuda, GTBank app, or whatever bank you use).
Go to the transfer section and enter:
- The temporary account number given to you
- The exact amount (N30,150.12 or whatever figure was shown)
- Bank name
Double check everything before you click send. Once everything is correct, complete the transfer.
Time is Important: You need to complete this transfer quickly. The temporary account number is only valid for 30 minutes. If you waste time and the 30 minutes expires, you will have to go back and generate a new account number. So act fast once you get to this stage.
The transfer should reflect within 15 seconds if you're using instant transfer apps like Opay or Palmpay. If you're using traditional banks, it might take 1-2 minutes.
Step 6: Confirm Your Payment on Remita
After you have made the transfer, go back to the Remita payment page (the page should still be open on your phone or browser).
You will see a button that says "I have transferred the money" or "I have made payment". Click on it.
Remita will check their system to confirm if your payment has been received. If everything went well, you will get a success message.
The page will show you:
- Payment successful notification
- Your transaction reference number
- Option to download your e-receipt
Download the e-receipt immediately and save it somewhere safe on your phone. Also, copy or write down the transaction reference number. You will need this reference number for the next step.
Step 7: Confirm Payment on Uniuyo Portal
Now go back to your Uniuyo student portal and login again (if you logged out).
Under "Fee Management", look for an option that says "Payment Status" or "Confirm Payment". Click on it.
The system will ask you to enter your transaction reference number. Paste or type the reference number you got from Remita.
Click submit or search. If everything is correct, the portal will confirm that your acceptance fee payment has been received.
You can now download your official acceptance fee receipt from the portal. This receipt is different from the Remita e-receipt. Make sure you download both and keep them safe.
Step 8: Print Your Receipt
Download your acceptance fee receipt and save it as a PDF on your phone. You need to print just one copy of this receipt.
After printing, take the receipt to the school bursary department. They will stamp it for you. This stamped copy is your original receipt.
Once you have the stamped original, you can make photocopies of it for any other purpose you need. But remember, print only one copy for stamping. Don't print multiple copies before going to the bursary.
Step 9: Keep Your Portal Details Safe
This is very important. Keep all your portal login details (email and password) secret and safe. Don't share them with anyone, not even your close friends.
You will need these details for many things throughout your time in school:
- Course registration every semester
- Paying school fees
- Checking results
- Printing receipts
- Updating your information
If someone else gets access to your portal, they can mess up your registration or cause other problems. So treat your portal password like you treat your ATM pin.
